Sazini Mojapelo
Chief Executive Officer, Village Enterprise
Sazini Mojapelo is the Chief Executive Officer of Village Enterprise and the organization’s first Africa-based CEO. She leads Village Enterprise’s mission to end extreme poverty in rural Africa through entrepreneurship, innovation, and sustainable economic development.
Sazini is a seasoned trisector executive and development specialist with deep expertise in strategic planning and execution, gender equality, enterprise development, impact investing, and sustainability. She brings extensive experience leading social impact organizations and multi-country strategies across the private sector, nonprofit sector, and global development institutions.
Prior to joining Village Enterprise, she served as the Global Gender-Based Violence Lead at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), part of the World Bank Group. She previously led the GBVF Response Fund 1 in South Africa, was Group Head of Corporate Citizenship at Barclays Africa and Absa Bank and served as CEO of Hand in Hand Southern Africa.
