Samuel Chor Alier is a passionate change-agent with a strong humanitarian drive and focus on community empowerment. He is a young peace builder with a people-to-people approach in support of community-identified, community-initiated, community-driven and community-owned peace work. Samuel has for long been a strong advocate of child-centred and youth-empowering approaches in local development and poverty reduction. As young changemaker he is speaking out against gender-based violence and supporting vulnerable women at the grassroots level through community mobilization by means of a six-step participatory action approach. Samuel is the CEO & Founder of Child Rights Foundation; the National Coordinator of Child Rights Civil Society Coalition and he was elected for a term of 4 years term to The Fourth Permanent General Assembly of the Economic Social and Cultural Council of the African Union (ECOSOC) as a member of Social Affairs and Health Committee. He holds a Bachelor of Law at the University of Juba, South Sudan.
