National Director, Child's Destiny & Development Organisation (CHIDDO), South Sudan
Riing Garwech Kuol is the Founder and National Director of Child’s Destiny and Development Organization (CHIDDO) since its establishment 25 November 2001. CHIDDO has been providing multi-sectoral interventions (Education, Protection (Child Protection & GBV), Nutrition, Maternal and Child Healthcare, School Meals Programme, Climate Change Adaptation and Clean Energy, WASH and Education services) in South Sudan.
Prior to his role in CHIDDO, he spent most of his career, working locally and nationally in NGOs sector as an English Language Tutor for Arabic speaking teachers, he worked as an Education Officer and Manager in INGOs and NNGOs such as Windle Trust International, Lutheran World Federation and UNIDOR providing humanitarian and development programmes in education field.
Riing has connected CHIDDO with various national, regional and international networks, coalitions memberships and child rights bodies such as ECPAT International, Global Partnership to End Violence against Children, Global Partnership to End Child Marriage, Global Network of Civil Society Organizations for Disaster Reduction (GNDR), Consortium for Street Children, NEAR Network, Alliance for Child Protection in Humanitarian Action (The Alliance) and recently, CHIDDO became a new member of CHS Alliance.
He is the local actor Lead of South Sudan Charter for Charge (C4C) Advocacy Working Group, an indispensable contributor of Grand Bargain National Reference Group (NRG) establishment in South Sudan, member of South Sudan NGO Forum (former NNGO Steering Committee member), former member of NNGO Representative to ICCG, former Co-lead of South Sudan NGO Forum Localization Working Group, former Co-lead of NEAR South Sudan membership and served as a member of NEAR Change Fund Oversight Body and NEAR African Regional Representative of Localization Lab, and currently is the South Sudan Alliance Champion.
