Claire Nasike Akello

Global Advisor for Climate Resilient Livelihoods, Christian Aid

Claire Nasike Akello is a Kenyan agroecologist, founder of the Hummingbird Foundation, and Global Advisor on Climate Resilient Livelihoods at Christian Aid. She previously served as the Regional Coordinator for the Global Landscapes Forum and led Greenpeace Africa's "Seed is Sovereign" campaign project. In 2015, she received the Wangari Maathai Scholarship Award for her work on environmental conservation in Budalang'i, Busia county. Nasike holds an MSc in Agroecosystems Management from The University of Nairobi and a first-class honours degree in Environmental Resource Management from the Technical University of Kenya.
