Brenda Gichuki

Brenda Gichuki is a Partnerships and Innovation professional with the World Food Programme (WFP) Regional Office for Eastern and Southern Africa, based in Nairobi. She works at the intersection of innovation and partnerships, designing and leading programmes that support locally driven solutions to food system challenges across Eastern and Southern Africa.
In her work, Brenda focuses on how to move ideas from pilots to scale by bringing together entrepreneurs, researchers, donors, and private sector partners to unlock both funding and market opportunities. Her work is deeply rooted in strengthening local ecosystems and ensuring that innovation is not only impactful, but also sustainable and scalable.
She holds a Master’s degree in Cooperation and Development from the University of Pavia, Italy and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science with Information Technology from Maseno University, Kenya.
