Annie Wakanyi

Director, Global Government Partnerships, One Acre Fund

Annie Wakanyi is a Kenyan professional committed to advancing social justice and development in Africa, with a strong belief that sustainable agriculture is a key pathway to long-term prosperity on the continent.

She is currently a Director, Global Government Partnerships at One Acre Fund, where she leads engagement with public donors to advance shared goals of economic resilience and large-scale impact for smallholder farmers. In this role, she works at the intersection of partnerships, financing, and program design to support the scaling of proven agricultural solutions across multiple African countries.

Annie brings over 20 years of experience in business development, donor contract management, and program implementation. Before joining One Acre Fund in February 2021, she worked at AGRA for five years, serving as Head of Development Cooperation and previously as a Resource Mobilization Officer, supporting efforts to strengthen Africa’s agricultural systems at scale.

Prior to AGRA, Annie worked in various business development roles at Oxfam, Plan International, and ChildFund International.

Through her work, Annie has developed deep expertise in building cross-sector partnerships and mobilizing funding to scale sustainable development solutions, with a particular focus on smallholder agriculture.
