Currently serving at IFRC Regional office Nairobi, Kenya as Head, Global Humanitarian Services and Supply Chain Management, Africa Regional.

More than 10 years’ experience in the Humanitarian Logistics sector both in development and emergency contexts at national level and international level. Began my humanitarian career at the Kenya Red Cross as a relief and logistics volunteer supporting small scale response in Nairobi, Kenya. Later seconded by Kenya Red Cross as a volunteer to German and Finnish Red Cross, Emergency Response Unit Teams during 2006 Kenya Floods based in Garissa and Tana River Districts.  

During the same period, Kenya Red Cross seconded me to IFRC to support 2007 Uganda Floods, and on coming back home I was recruited in 2007/08 by Kenya Red Cross for the position Regional Logistics officer under Kenya Post Election Violence Operation, supported by International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC). 

Over the years at KRCS up until 2017, I served in various capacities, including Base Camp Manager Dadaab Refugees Operation, Medical Logistician, Warehouse Manager and later the Logistics Manager. Between 2018 - 2020, I joined IFRC as a Warehouse Expert, based in DR Congo, supporting the Ebola Outbreak in DR Congo. 2021 – 2023, I served as a Logistics Coordination Delegate based in Damascus, Syria, supporting the complex crisis emergency. Other most notable short mission, I served as technical advisor, including Pakistan Floods with Canadian Red Cross, Nigeria Complex Crisis Emergency with IFRC and Ebola response in Liberia.  

I hold a Degree in Business Administration, options: Purchase and Supplies Management, Diplomas in Project Management and a trained Logistics in Emergencies in Canada and Finland through the Red Cross.  

My passion is to serve humanity and inspire the young, upcoming generation with enormous potential to take up big roles and make their opinion count.
